About
Liam Madden is a graphic designer/illustrator based in Limerick, Ireland. Having originally studied Fine Art Printmaking in the Limerick School of Art and Design, graduating in 1999, he then continued his studies in 2011 and gained a degree in Visual Communication from Crawford Collage of Art and Design. Currently he is undertaking an MA research scholarship with a focus on contemporary print technologies. Only recently he has collaborated with Sandu Publishing, and has designed for clients nationally and internationally such as, Rosetta Books, TMRW music (formerly Ministry of Sound Australia), and the Irish Examiner. He is inspired by music, fashion and all types of Art, Design & Technology. His work is heavily influenced by aesthetic tones found within music and colour theory. He has a particular affinity for found Imagery and likes to cut copy paste, transform, reflect, duplicate, whatever it takes to communicate a story visually. Like the painter Mark Rothko, he truly believes colour connects emotionally and understands that carefully considered colour has the ability to enchant and affect its audience. Prints are available for purchase on request in different sizes. For further information, commissions or collaborations please contact liammaddencreative@gmail.com.
